After several years of research and development on its proprietary noninvasive
HemoView technology, HEMONIX has demonstrated a prototype unit called the
PeriVasc, that provides a non-invasive peripheral vascular profile.
The PeriVasc instrument measures the entire pressure profile of the patient
including arterial pressures, microvascular pressures, and venous pressures down
to and including Central Venous Pressure.
Furthermore, the PeriVasc is able to determine the blood volume profile
of the patient and determine vessel compliance for all seven types of anatomic
vessels.
The ability to measure venous and microvascular pressures, noninvasively, is
unique and has the potential to offer dramatic improvement in diagnosis and management
of hypertension, heart failure, and emergency patient care.

Initial testing in the clinical environment has demonstrated a very encouraging
correlation between the PeriVasc CVP measurement and CVP readings taken
by invasive catheters.
Hemonix is continuing to conduct clinical validation testing in the hospital
critical care setting.
